DW Reusables Introduces Loop Ready Packaging
Sustainability
Sustainability
For more than 50 years, we only make products that are 100% reusable and 100% recyclable after a long life. Our circular processes and products are designed to help you reach your sustainability goals.
When DW Reusables first produced a recyclable crate in 1964 it wasn’t to support our sustainability objectives, burnish our green credentials or demonstrate our cradle2cradle approach. Those terms mostly didn’t exist then and they certainly weren’t understood in the way they are now.
What we did understand is that it made sense to us, our customers and our planet to build a tough product that lasts for decades. We understood that at the end of a long product life it made sense to reuse the materials to build a new product rather than letting them go to waste.
We also understood that a successful business always needs to innovate if it is going to have a long life. After more than 50 years in business those rules are still true.
We believe the world must transition to a circular economy. We always have, even if we didn’t always have the words.
In fact, we only make products that are 100% reusable and 100% recyclable after a long life. Because in a world of limited resources, it is our responsibility to secure a sustainable environment for future generations, by making products that last for decades.
So we continue to take pride in making reusable products that will last for decades. And we continue to innovate in our loop ready packaging which is so desperately needed in a world awash in single-use plastics.
We were also the world’s first company to make a crate out of 100% post-consumer material and we continuously refine our circular approach with initiatives like our mobile grinding units, which makes recycling easier than ever for our customers.
