About DW Reusables
DW Reusables is a worldwide leader in reusable injection-moulded packaging — beverage crates, pallets, totes, trays, and customer-specific solutions. With more than 60 years of experience working for the world's most famous brands, we have pioneered the most important innovations in reusable beverage packaging.
Headquartered in Belgium, with manufacturing sites in Poland, Spain, and Croatia, we are a strategic European player committed to the circular economy — helping customers replace single-use packaging with sustainable, closed-loop returnable systems.
We offer an international environment with a warm, collaborative atmosphere and short lines of communication.
Role Purpose
Responsible for establishing, validating and maintaining stable, repeatable injection moulding processes within the plant. The role focuses on defining and controlling the relationship between process input parameters and output performance in order to ensure consistent product quality, process stability and reliable productivity. In the longer term, this role has the potential to evolve into a Group Process Engineer position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process validation, cycle time improvement and implementation of practical process changes
- Review process parameters, machine settings, work methods and operating standards to improve process stability, repeatability and overall plant performance
- Define, document and maintain process windows, operating ranges and technical standards for injection moulding processes
- Own process stability and repeatability across assigned production areas, ensuring that defined process standards are followed in daily operations
- Analyse the relationship between input parameters and process output — use data to identify causes of variation in quality, scrap, productivity and stability
- Drive continuous improvement of injection moulding processes through technical analysis, structured testing and reduction of process variation
- Identify process-related losses and performance gaps; implement sustainable improvements in cycle time, scrap, quality and process robustness
- Apply a structured, data-based approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis, with focus on structural and repeatable solutions
- Support process trials, new product introductions and industrialisation activities
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Maintenance to ensure process standards are understood, applied and sustained on the shop floor
- Ensure consistent application of defined processes through training, audits, follow-up and practical support to operational teams
- Standardise key manufacturing processes, work instructions and operational routines to improve repeatability and consistency
- Monitor the impact of process changes through KPI tracking and structured follow-up
- Build and transfer process knowledge through training, technical guidance and clear process documentation
- Support development of a disciplined process engineering approach across the plant
Your Profile
- Injection moulding experience or a strong process engineering background in a parameter-driven manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cause-and-effect relationships in manufacturing processes — able to link input variables to output variation
- Works in a structured and analytical way, using data, testing and clear conclusions
- Able to define and implement stable, repeatable processes and translate technical understanding into practical shop floor standards
- Hands-on and comfortable working close to the machine, with operators and support functions
- Able to influence operational teams and support practical implementation of process standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Persistent and ownership-driven, with focus on long-term process stability rather than temporary fixes
- Comfortable following up on agreed standards through training, audits and regular shop floor interaction
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or a related technical field
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment
- Experience in injection moulding or in another parameter-driven environment such as plastics, chemicals, food processing, pharma or metal processing
- Proven experience in reducing process variation, scrap or instability and improving process consistency and repeatability
- Strong understanding of process settings, cycle times, troubleshooting and the interaction between process parameters and output quality
- Practical experience with structured, data-based problem solving and systematic process testing
- Ability to define process windows and operating ranges
- Ability to translate technical analysis into clear process standards, work instructions and shop floor guidance
- Familiarity with industrial trials, process validation and new product or process implementation
- Strong communication and cross-functional cooperation skills
- Good command of English
An Advantage
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing data systems
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma tools
