Friday the 8th of March is international Women’s Day, to celebrate women and girls around the world.

This year’s international theme is ‘Invest in women: accelerate progress’.

Gender equality remains the greatest human rights challenge. Investing in women is a cornerstone for building inclusive societies.

Women and girls have made great gains –driving progress towards a more just and equal world. However, billions of women and girls still face injustice and discrimination.

Today, DW Reusables takes a stand and supports the UN’s ambition to accelerate progress.
